My Passion

Beyond the rugby pitch, my life’s pretty packed with passions that keep me ticking. Let’s start with travel—I’ve been lucky enough to see more hotel rooms and airport lounges than I can count. But it’s the hidden gems along the way, like a tiny café in Paris or a sunset in Cape Town, that really stick with you.

When it comes to food, I’m your typical foodie, if a foodie loves a good steak and isn’t afraid to tackle the dessert menu with the same intensity as a rugby match. Cooking? Well, let’s just say I’m better at eating than cooking, but I’m working on it. The family’s always first on my team sheet. They keep me grounded and laughing, reminding me that no matter how tough the match, the real win is a family dinner where everyone’s fighting over the last roast potato.

And then, there’s my love for country music. Nothing quite matches the storytelling in a country song—heartbreak, happiness, and a bit of humour, all set to a tune you can tap your boots to. It’s like they know the soundtrack of a rugby player’s soul.
